CHANTILLY, VA, April 2024 – ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is pleased to announce that Adam Ward has been honored with the Overall GRIT Award for his remarkable resilience, dedication and hard work. Despite facing significant health challenges in 2023, Adam demonstrated unwavering commitment to his work and colleagues, embodying the true spirit of perseverance.
Reflecting on his journey, Adam shared, “Winning the GRIT Award is a great honor because it is based on other people recommending you. 2023 was a very hard year for me. I was diagnosed with two different kinds of head and neck cancers, but I always felt the care and support from ECS from the VPs down to the inspectors.”
Adam started at ECS in 2018 after receiving his Master Code Professional Certification. He serves as a Code Compliance Project Manager and has repeatedly gone above and beyond to embody our core values of collaborate, focus and lead. We congratulate Adam for this well-deserved recognition and thank him for his extraordinary dedication.
The GRIT Awards are an internal recognition program acknowledging individuals who have gone above and beyond and embody our core values of collaborate, focus and lead. Employees are encouraged to nominate their colleagues and peers and nominations are reviewed by a selection committee of ECS leadership and management. The winners were honored and celebrated at the annual ECS Managers’ Meeting.
