Dominic Agyepong, PE has been promoted to Group Manager in the Manassas, VA office. Mr. Agyepong has been a part of the Manassas operation since the doors opened in Prince William County in 2006. In his new role, Mr. Agyepong leads an office of engineers and field technicians in the coordination of subsurface exploration studies and geotechnical engineering analyses, and construction materials testing services for a wide range of projects, including commercial and government buildings, high-rise buildings with multiple below-grade levels, residential land development, DOT roadway projects, and geotechnical instrumentation.
“Dominic’s leadership and technical expertise have been instrumental to the growth of our Manassas operations,” says Drew Shontz, PG Office Manager. “We are very excited for Dominic in this new role and know that he has the drive and management experience needed for the continued growth in the Prince William County market.”
A member of ECS since 2003, Mr. Agyepong most recently served as Principal Geotechnical Engineer and Geotechnical Department Manager in the Manassas, VA office. Mr. Agyepong has experience managing and executing a wide variety of subsurface exploration programs. These projects involved both in-situ and laboratory testing of soil and rock for the design and construction of new facilities and additions. He has performed analyses for deep and shallow foundations, pavements, retaining wall design, slope stability, and site seismic classification.
Mr. Agyepong earned his Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering from University of Maryland, College Park and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Ghana. He a licensed professional engineer (PE) in Virginia and Washington D.C.
The Manassas, VA office is a satellite to the Chantilly, VA office and provides geotechnical and construction materials testing services to Prince William County, City of Manassas, City of Manassas Park, Towns of Dumfries, Occoquan, Haymarket and Warrenton.
