ECS Group of Companies (ECS) is pleased to announce that Nick Calvanese, PE has joined the firm as a Geotechnical Department Manager in our Philadelphia, PA, office. Nick brings more than a decade of geotechnical engineering experience to his new role, including previous experience with ECS.
In his new role, Nick works alongside Jeff Yates to complement our technical and operational leadership in the Philadelphia office. Based in the King of Prussia area, Nick’s local experience strengthens the department’s capabilities and supports the continued growth of ECS’ geotechnical services throughout the Greater Philadelphia region. His responsibilities include project management, budgets, project deliverables, quality control and business development while strengthening client relationships. Nick also supports the training and professional development of field staff, engineers, and technical professionals.

A graduate of Drexel University, Nick earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 2013. He is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. His career has included roles as a soils laboratory technician, CMT field technician, senior project engineer and principal geotechnical engineer providing him with a variety of experience across multiple geotechnical disciplines.
