He transformed solar pile testing capabilities at ECS, laying the foundation for future advancements.
Driving solar pile testing from idea to achievement is a major career milestone for John. Starting as the first geotechnical technician at ECS Charlotte while earning his mechanical engineering degree, John established a career rooted in strategy and trust while keeping his eye on the prize. John thrives on solving challenges, collaborating with his team and driving new opportunities. John achieving the Overall GRIT Award is a demonstration of how to take risks, advocate transformative ideas and build momentum for the future.
Reflecting on his journey, John shared, “My family raised me to be a good person and a hard worker,” said John. “Surrounding myself with an amazing family, great friends and competent colleagues only strengthened my resolve.”
The GRIT Awards are an internal recognition program acknowledging individuals who have gone above and beyond and embody our core values of collaborate, focus and lead. Employees are encouraged to nominate their colleagues and peers and nominations are reviewed by a selection committee of ECS leadership and management. The winners were honored and celebrated at the annual ECS Managers’ Meeting.
