ECS provides asset management services to include an assessment of the existing asphalt pavements to determine the overall condition, review of its current use, and evaluation of previous repairs or reported issues.

Typically we obtain core samples of the asphalt and subgrade to assess thickness. Adjacent sidewalks, curb and gutters, drainage structures and a cursory ADA assessment are typically included as part of an assessment. ECS will provide repair recommendations, with estimated costs, and will prioritize repairs based on the available budget. ECS utilizes ASTM D6433 standard Practice for Roads and Parking Lots Pavement Condition Index Surveys.

ECS is also able to develop repair specifications, oversee the bidding process to contractors and provide construction administration, including materials testing, during the repair work.
