Supporting the growth of our Pittsburgh, PA, office, ECS is pleased to announce that Cole Williams joins as a Facilities Senior Associate. Cole brings 13 years of facilities experience in building enclosures, leak investigations, airtightness testing and building great client relationships.
In his role, Cole generates business opportunities and builds team-oriented relationships with local and regional offices and clients, focusing on growing ECS’ building enclosure consulting services practice. Cole also mentors junior team members and assists with the overall strategic growth of ECS’ facilities engineering consulting team in the greater Pittsburgh region.
When asked about his new role, Cole said, “I am thankful for the opportunity to help ECS grow and help the Pittsburgh office bloom by generating building-enclosure work.” He also said, “Building enclosure work is a relatively obscure field, but it has an outsized impact on new and existing buildings. From durability, indoor environmental quality, decarbonization and energy efficiency, a building’s envelope is arguably its most important system. Delivering high-quality, high-performance buildings to our customers brings me a lot of pride and doing it with ECS is icing on the cake.”
Cole not only holds a master’s in sustainable systems from Slippery Rock University, but he also holds a bachelor’s in psychology and teaches graduate-level courses on building science to students in Chatham University’s Master of Sustainability (MSUS) program. In his free time, Cole and his wife, Shannon enjoy shuttling their two boys to sports, camping, backpacking and working with their hands on a new craft, hobby or house project.
