On May 5th ECS Mid-Atlantic’s Nicole Wilhelm Smith was recognized at NAIOP Maryland’s bi-annual Awards of Excellence. At the event she was awarded the Greg Masi Volunteer Award in front of 300 attendees at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore Harbor. Nicole has been involved with NAIOP Maryland since 2009 and in 2019 was elected to the board of directors for the organization. In addition to being apart of the board of directors Nicole is the Community Service Co-Chair and Awards of Excellence Co-Chair.
Nicole was nominated by the board of directors for the award. The organization states the Greg Masi Volunteer Award is presented to “the ultimate volunteer, active on one or more NAIOP-MD committees, inspires others to volunteer, motivates others and exemplifies leadership qualities and has introduced contributions or innovative ideas to meet or exceed the Chapter’s goals and object efforts ‘above and beyond’ the Chapter’s expectation.”
Nicole had this to say about being presented the award, “It feels great to be recognized by such a prominent commercial real estate organization. To know that my efforts over the past decade plus have earned me the respect of my colleagues & clients means a lot to me.”
This is not the first time she has been recognized by NAIOP Maryland. In 2014 she received the NAIOP Maryland Service Provider Award and in 2015 she was named a Developing Leader by the NAIOP National Organization.
Nicole has been with ECS since 2015 and she currently serves as a Business Development Manager for the Baltimore Office. ECS thanks Nicole for her hard work and representing ECS in such a positive manner!
