CHANTILLY, VA, March 2026 – ECS Group of Companies (ECS) announces that Luke Myers has been named the Midwest GRIT Award recipient for his strong work ethic, recognizing his persistence, dedication and commitment to doing his work to the highest standard.
For Luke, excellence is not a destination but something that develops over time. His motivation is rooted in the values he and his wife established for their family more than a decade ago: a belief, simply put, in doing every task “with dedication and purpose.”
While Luke takes pride in his professional recognition, he’s stated that some of his proudest moments happen outside of work. Recently, two of his children were recognized with awards for their character, an accomplishment he says means more to him than anything else.
Additionally, Luke views the GRIT Award as a reflection of the values he shares with ECS and the colleagues who nominated him.
“I am proud to work for a company that shares my personal values of hard work and dedication,” Luke said. “I may not be the smartest, the most educated or the most experienced person in the company, but I do the best I can with what I have, keep trying despite setbacks and strive to do better next time. I know I can reach my goals through persistence and tenacity when the road is rough.”
The GRIT Awards are an internal recognition program honoring individuals who go above and beyond while living ECS’ core values of collaborate, focus and lead. Employees nominate their peers, and recipients are selected by a committee of ECS leadership and management. Honorees are recognized during the annual ECS Managers’ Meeting.
