CHANTILLY, VA, March 2026 – ECS Group of Companies (ECS) announces that April Tutor has been honored with the Overall GRIT Award for her leadership, dedication and commitment to building a strong and successful team. She consistently exceeds expectations and performs her duties as an office manager to the highest standard.
For April, excellence comes from leading by example but also taking every opportunity to learn from her peers. “I take pride in the work that I do and see the big picture,” April said. “I know the success of my people depends on me. I must be the best I can be to allow them to be the best they can be.”
When asked what the GRIT Award means to her, she stated, “Winning the GRIT Award means that everything I have poured into the office over the last almost eight years and the successes we have achieved, especially in the last two years, are being recognized.”

Over the past several years, April has played a pivotal role building and expanding the Memphis office. She serves as the office manager and has focused on developing a strong team culture while creating opportunities for growth and collaboration across the office. By setting clear goals and working toward them through measurable milestones, April has helped position the office to be successful while supporting the professional development of her team.
The GRIT Awards are an internal recognition program honoring individuals who go above and beyond while living ECS’ core values of collaborate, focus and lead. Employees nominate their peers, and recipients are selected by a committee of ECS leadership and management. Honorees are recognized during the annual ECS Managers’ Meeting.
