Residences at Beverly Park

Geotechnical engineering and testing for a mixed-use high rise

Residences at Beverly Park is a 10-story mixed-use development in Hollywood, Florida. The project spans 238,753 square feet and includes 117 residential units, ground-floor retail, common amenities and an attached parking garage from floors 1 through 7. Designed to bring modern living and convenience to the area, the development reflects a growing trend toward integrated residential and retail spaces.

The project was developed by NuRock Companies, with Heritage Oaks Housing Partners, LP as the ownership entity. ECS Group of Companies partnered with the design and construction team to deliver significant engineering and Florida Milestone Inspection services that supported the client’s vision for a high-quality, cost-effective build.

Challenge: Fast-track schedule, high-rise requirements

The project required fast-track permitting and close coordination with the municipality to keep the schedule on track. ECS provided additional manpower and expertise to make sure that plan reviews and Milestone Inspections were finished quickly and accurately. During construction, ECS worked closely with the contractor to verify compliance with geotechnical recommendations and post-tensioning standards, reducing delays and delivering quality.

Solution: Ground improvement and integrated oversight

Instead of deep foundations, the team used ground improvement techniques to support a cost-effective shallow foundation system. This approach reduced complexity and helped maintain the project schedule while meeting structural performance requirements. ECS provided guidance to make sure that installation met geotechnical standards, reinforcing confidence in the long-term stability of the structure.
