ECS Florida Adds New Geotechnical Senior Principal

ECS is pleased to announce that David Wilshaw, PG has joined the ECS Orlando, FL office as a Geotechnical Senior Principal. David and his company Integrity Drilling and Geophysical Services officially joined the ECS family last month. David brings 38 years of domestic and international geotechnical industry experience to ECS, together with a diverse skillset. During his career, David has become a recognized expert in sinkholes and ground subsidence and has been called to testify as an expert witness at trial on over 40 occasions. He has made regular media appearances, contributing to local and national news, as well as documentary programs that have aired in the US and UK.

As a Geotechnical Senior Principal, David will be responsible for aiding Chief Engineers, office managers, and department managers in providing leadership and technical oversight to geotechnical staff and project managers within the region.

 David had this to say about his new role with ECS, “By bringing IDGS into the ECS family, we have expanded the high-quality drilling services, geophysical expertise, and engineering geological consulting already on offer to ECS clients in Florida and beyond.”

Originally from Stoke-on-Trent, England, David achieved a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Geology from the University of London before moving on to the University of Birmingham where he attained a Master of Science in Foundation Engineering. He and his family moved to the United States almost 20 years ago.
