ECS is pleased to announce that Nik Boykov, PG has joined our Charlotte office as a Senior Project Geologist. Nik brings 14 years of experience to his new role with ECS, where he has developed his specialty in geophysics.
In his new role, Nik will be responsible for project management, mentoring junior staff, marketing new capabilities of the Charlotte office, and applying his geophysical knowledge to geotechnical projects.
“I am truly excited about developing the geophysical capabilities under the geotechnical department. In addition, working with a great team of people who are collaborative and supportive has been a great experience so far.” Nik says, “The opportunity means developing a service that is not currently one the Charlotte office offers, which makes me excited about turning geophysics into a service line soon.”
Originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, Nik obtained his bachelor’s degree from St. Ivan Rilski University in Mining Engineering. He then received a Geophysics master’s degree from the University of Texas at El Paso, and a master’s in Mining Engineering from West Virginia University. Nik won the Permian Basin Geophysical Society Award in 2007.
