ECS Announces Addition to Mid-Atlantic Special Projects Group

Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is pleased to announce that Greg Simmons, PE, has joined the firm as Director of Business Development for the ECS Mid-Atlantic Special Projects Group (SPG). Mr. Simmons will bring his nearly 30 years of experience in the engineering industry to his new role, where he will be responsible for business development, sales and marketing activities to support the SPG.

Prior to joining ECS, Mr. Simmons was the Business Development/Area Manager at Menard USA, where he developed a Mid-Atlantic presence for the firm, achieving greater market share by developing relationships with general contractors and consultants. His thorough engineering knowledge and business development experience complements the SPG’s goal of further identifying and capturing project leads.

“Greg has a proven ability to develop and market technical services and his experience aligns well with the goals of ECS’ Special Projects Group in both geographical- and sector-based growth throughout the Mid-Atlantic,” said Randy Wirt, Director of Engineering with the SPG. “With Greg’s addition we look forward to expanding our SPG model to new clients while maintaining outstanding service with existing clients.”

A licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, DC, West Virginia, Delaware, Ohio and Texas, Mr. Simmons holds a Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
