Derek L. Clyburn, PE, MBA, FACEC, President of ECS Southeast, LLC, has been elected as Chair-Elect of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). He is positioned to serve as Chair-Elect during the 2026–2027 term before assuming the role of ACEC Chair for 2027–2028. Clyburn provides leadership for ECS Southeast’s employee-owners throughout nine southeastern states. A long-time leader within ECS and the engineering community, Clyburn has held several national and state-level roles with ACEC and continues to support industry engagement through professional organizations. His installation is scheduled for the 2026 ACEC Spring Conference and Legislative Summit in Washington, DC.
