Basic and Applied R+D Solutions at ECS
ECS Government Solutions maintains an active cutting-edge applied research and development program. This work focuses on projects where conventional engineering, foundation systems or testing approaches do not align because project location, requirements or schedule are not negotiable.
From the federal to private sectors, ECS Government Solutions develops, validates and executes R+D efforts tailored to project needs with a clear path from concept to engineered application. Current R+D programs include development of new deep foundation systems, ground improvement approaches, instrumentation and monitoring of in-situ behavior and laboratory testing methods for conditions not addressed by existing ASTM standards. These efforts support engineered solutions for ground conditions that fall outside conventional practice. Partnered with APC Construction, LLC and PierTech Systems, LLC, the HeilMaxTM Pile system is one example, a research-driven technology now being applied in practice, with ECS providing the engineering support, validation and delegated designs.
R+D engagements include classified federal sponsors, defense and energy research agencies, National Science Foundation programs, university collaborations and private-sector partners in steel, manufacturing, and heavy industries.
Phrasing overcooked here–alternative: “testing approaches do not align because project location, requirements or schedule are not negotiable.”
