Congratulations to ECS Austin’s Evan Tantum for receiving the Real Estate Council of Austin (RECA) 2022
Member of the Year Award! This award is given annually to the RECA member who has dedicated a significant amount of time to help the organization. The award announcement from RECA says, “Evan had a major impact on the organizations success throughout the course of 2022.”
Evan has been a member of RECA since 2018. He serves on several committees including the events and communications, membership, and the Christmas in October committees. In addition to those, Evan volunteers at all their events and is regularly invited to speak with new and prospective members about the benefits of joining RECA.
Evan earned one of RECA’s most unique awards as a 2019 KnockOut Night champion. KnockOut night is RECA’s premier fundraising event that attracts nearly 2,000 commercial real estate professionals from all sectors of the industry. After winning as a competitor, Evan now acts as RECA’s boxing coach. He volunteers three nights a week for nearly three months to prepare boxers for the next event.
“As an organization of 2,000 members from all aspects of commercial real estate, and here I am, as one of thousands who believe in RECA’s mission and how it benefits our community. I couldn’t be more honored to have been named RECA’s Member of the Year,” says Evan. “This award is an exclusive club of professionals that I am privileged to be a part of. There is no equivalent that is so humbling and impactful on my personal and professional life.”
