Strengthening Leadership for the Future

Success Rarely Happens in One Big Moment

Sometimes, success looks like a promotion.

But long before the new title comes the work that made the moment possible: years spent learning, relationships built along the way, challenges accepted, responsibilities expanded and goals reached one at a time.

Across ECS, employees are reaching those moments and stepping into the next chapters of their careers.

For some, the journey has spanned decades. Jeff Shelton, PE, LEED AP, celebrates 29 years with ECS as he moves into his new role as Director of Strategic Initiatives for Western Pennsylvania. Lloyd Ward, PE, begins his next chapter as Project Executive after 18 years leading the Williamsburg office. Michael Krepsik, PE, marks 10 years with ECS by advancing to Pittsburgh Branch Manager, while David Anderson, PE, expands his role as Branch Manager and Hampton Roads Area Manager.

That story of growth continues across Mid-Atlantic leadership. Scott Stannard steps into the role of Mid-Atlantic Subsidiary President, marking another milestone in a career built through leadership and experience.

Technical expertise is another path to career advancement at ECS. Scott Nelson advances to Subsidiary Director of Nondestructive Testing (NDT), bringing his experience to an expanded leadership role within a growing service area. Mohammed Mulla, PhD, PE, has been promoted to Chief Engineer in Raleigh, NC, marking another chapter in his technical leadership career. Paul Hernandez advances to Principal, recognizing a new milestone in his professional journey. Together, these promotions highlight the opportunities for technical professionals to build on their expertise, expand their influence and contribute to the continued development of ECS.

Across our corporate teams, new opportunities are also creating space for employees to shape people, relationships and strategy. Kyle Reese advances to Associate Director of Talent Acquisition – Early Careers, and Cece Tyson to Recruiting Manager, continuing their work connecting people with opportunities and supporting the growth of ECS teams.

Within National Accounts, Vince Elizarde, PE, steps into the role of Director of Strategy and National Accounts, Samantha J. Hedgepath advances to Associate Director of National Accounts Operations and Megan Pittman, EIT, becomes Senior National Client Manager. Rylan Farr also continues his career progression at ECS as Senior Director of National Accounts, bringing 25 years of environmental consulting and client development experience to his expanded role leading the National Accounts program.

The momentum extends throughout Corporate Services. After joining ECS in 2011 and building experience across compliance, employee relations and HR leadership, Alyssa Harrington advances to Director of Human Resources. Her career journey has included developing compliance strategy, partnering with company leaders on HR policies and employee relations and mentoring HR staff. Kathy Freiburger advances to Director of Digital Infrastructure – Project Delivery, Corporate SPG, adding another chapter to a career focused on supporting the people, projects and systems behind ECS’ work.

Growth is taking shape within Marketing, too. Teresa Hall advances to Director of Marketing, while Beth Ganoe steps into the role of Senior Director of Marketing. Their new positions recognize another stage in their leadership journeys as they continue helping guide the teams, programs and strategies that share the ECS story and support the company’s growth.

Different roles. Different paths. Different goals. But each promotion represents something bigger than a new title.

It represents the experiences collected along the way, the challenges that became opportunities to grow and the goals that eventually became milestones worth celebrating. Together, these stories show that careers are built one opportunity, one challenge and one achievement at a time.

Today, we celebrate not just where these employees are going, but the work, growth and determination that brought them here.

Congratulations to Jeff, Lloyd, Michael, David, Scott Stannard, Scott Nelson, Mohammed, Paul, Kyle, Cece, Vince, Samantha, Megan, Rylan, Alyssa, Kathy, Teresa and Beth on reaching their next milestones at ECS.
