Reinforce your education through a practical, hands-on work experience. Our programs allow you to learn more and help you set career goals. Many of our interns become full-time employees upon graduation. In fact, many senior managers at ECS began their careers as an intern, field technician or entry-level engineer. Discover how ECS creates opportunity for growth.

Internships and Co-op Programs – All internship and co-op positions at ECS are paid positions. Establish effective mentoring relationships with members of our professional staff. Candidates will join the ECS team and be exposed to many facets of our business – Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing, Environmental Science and Building Facilities Consulting. Opportunities exist in additional areas such as marketing, business development, and administration. Who knows, [with the right training] you may even get to jump off a building!

Job Shadows – This a non-paid job shadow experience that lasts up to 40 hours. Our job shadow experience allows you to meet with ECS professionals and gain insight into our culture, business practices, and areas of engineering expertise. These opportunities are available year-round; however, they typically occur during school breaks. Think of it as a trial run for our internship program.

You must be an active student in good academic standing majoring in: civil or environmental engineering; construction management; geology, biology, chemistry or a life science; building science or architecture; or a related engineering field.
