Ryon Schewe Obtains ICC Master Code Professional Certification

ECS is pleased to announce Ryon Schewe has obtained his International Code Council Master Code Professional (MCP) designation. Ryon has been with ECS for almost 2 years and is currently a Third-Party Inspections Program Manager in our Marietta, GA office.

Master Code Professional is the highest level of code certification for demonstrating proficiency in the code profession. Candidates for this certification must first pass the 10 core ICC exams plus several elective Code Council exams. Once achieved, Master Code Professionals are required to take an additional 60 hours of continuing education units every 3 years to maintain an active status.

“This certification is a benefit to ECS because it is a testimonial from an internationally accredited agency as to the type of individual they have. This certification has cost a significant amount of time, money, and energy to obtain.” Ryon says, “It was not easily acquired, and it required grit to maintain the course over the years. I have learned a lot along the way and it shows our clients that you are getting a person that is in it for the long term and serious about their profession.”

Shea Johnson, Code Plan Review Manager, with ECS Southeast Facilities had this to say about Ryon’s MCP achievement. “The effort and dedication shown by Ryon place him at an ICC Certification level that only about 800 people have achieved. This effort helps to place ECS at the top of the list for code compliance services throughout the southeast.”
