Our HUD Risk Assessment Services
ECS’ team of risk assessors and industrial hygienists offer a range of HUD-compliant assessments designed to identify potential environmental hazards in residential and mixed-use properties.
- Lead-based Paint Risk Assessments: Evaluate and identify lead hazards in homes, apartments and child-occupied facilities built before 1978. We conduct visual assessments, dust-wipe sampling and soil testing to identify the presence of lead and recommend management measures.
- Asbestos Assessments: Identify asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) in older buildings and provide guidance on abatement strategies to avoid exposure during renovations or demolitions.
- Mold Assessments: Assess indoor environments for mold growth, moisture issues and potential health risks, providing remediation recommendations to protect occupants.
- Radon Testing: Measure radon levels in residential properties to support compliance with HUD’s requirements and protect residents from this radioactive gas.
- Environmental Hazard Assessments: Conduct a detailed evaluation of potential hazards, including soil contamination and chemical exposure, particularly in properties located near industrial sites.
- National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA): NEPA requires federal agencies to assess the environmental impact of proposed projects to see that they do not harm the environment.
