ECS Baltimore Announces New Associate Principal

We are pleased to announce Chuck Shaw, PE has joined ECS as a Geotechnical Associate Principal at our Baltimore, MD office. Chuck brings over 23 years of experience to ECS and in that time not only has he developed expertise in construction material testing (CMT), geotechnical investigating and pavement design, but he has a passion for these services as well which is great for the team.

As a Geotechnical Associate Principal, Chuck will be responsible for assisting geotechnical engineers and working with CMT staff for projects. He will also assist with proposal writing as well as the development of younger staff members for a bright future to grow within their role and within the company.

I hope to continue evolving technically, while taking on more complicated projects and having the sound resources available to me.”  In addition, Chuck values the opportunity to mentor younger managers and engineers.  

Originally from Fallston, Harford County, Maryland, Chuck attended the University of Maryland, College Park and received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and then attended the University of Delaware where he received a Magna Cum Laude award upon graduation with a master’s degree in civil engineering and was inducted into the National Honors Society.
