We are pleased to announce that Stephen “Steve” Patt, PE, joined ECS as a Geotechnical Principal Engineer in our Chantilly, VA, office. With more than 17 years of experience, Steve has an extensive background in geotechnical consultations, deep and shallow foundations, pressuremeter testing and other aspects of engineering.
As a Geotechnical Principal Engineer, Steve is responsible for stimulating the growth of ECS’ geotechnical department by identifying new opportunities in the region, providing technical expertise and mentoring engineers, pushing ECS into new business areas and helping make ECS the leader in providing adaptive engineering solutions for clients.
When asked about the opportunity with ECS, Steve said, “After spending 15 successful years at ECS, I stepped away from the company to diversify my professional background and experience. However, the opportunity to support, mentor and further develop ECS employees was an exciting challenge I could not let pass.” Steve also stated, “My new position at ECS is one where I can not only use my technical skills, but also my problem solving and leadership skills to advance ECS’ mission across the Mid-Atlantic region. I am looking forward to reconnecting with old colleagues and forging new relationships as part of this new opportunity.”
A New York native, Steve earned and received his bachelor’s in civil engineering from Clarkson University and a master’s in geotechnical engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology. In his free time, you can find Steve indulging in the art of fishing and channeling his passion for culinary creativity through cooking, and he pairs it with a healthy commitment to running and fitness.
