Salesforce Tower

ECS provided construction materials testing for a 60-story 1.2 million sf riverfront office building. Visible from three directions and situated in a prominent location, the Salesforce Tower is a nationally recognized project that has changed the landscape of Chicago’s skyline. ECS Chicago is extremely proud to have worked on this prestigious project, which to date is the tallest building that ECS has ever worked on.  A partial listing of ECS’ services includes:

-Inspected pavement areas for compliance with Contract Documents

-Obtained core samples of the placed concrete paving to determine in-place thickness and density

-Periodically inspected and performed material testing on drilled piers; secant pile wall; matt foundation; pre-stressed precast concrete; office structure; slab on grade; asphalt and/or concrete drives, aprons, sidewalks, streets; structural steel, compaction tests and proof rolling; concrete and rebar placement; installation of roofing and waterproofing; and installation of all fire proofing (i.e. fire safing)

-Maintained daily records and provide non-compliance reports and/or their subsequent resolutions.

-Inspected all structural elements i.e. concrete systems, steel structural systems, and concrete structural systems requiring special and/or continuous inspection as required by the Contract Documents, the City and Chicago Building Code

-Performed periodic inspection of steel at the appropriate manufacturing plant

Conducted site and field inspection and quality inspection program
