Kevin Ali Crowe Obtains ICC Master Code Professional Certification

ECS is pleased to announce that Kevin Ali Crowe has obtained his International Code Council (ICC) Master Code Professional (MCP) designation. Kevin is currently a code compliance staff project manager in our Richmond, VA, office.

MCP is the highest level of designation for demonstrating proficiency in the code profession. Candidates for this certification must first pass 10 core ICC exams, plus several elective exams. Once achieved, MCPs are required to take an additional 60 hours of continuing education units every three years to maintain active status.

“The MCP certification is a benefit to ECS because it is a testimonial from an internationally accredited agency. This certification, along with my other 35 building code-compliance certifications, proves that ECS and I value a wealth of knowledge and capability in the code compliance department,” says Kevin.

However, Kevin was not alone during his time studying and training. With Daniel Windham’s help and Rick Hinson’s passion and encouraging words, he learned more about code-compliance inspection as he worked to obtain his MCP.

Kevin had this to say when asked what obtaining this certification means: “Obtaining this certification shows my commitment and dedication to making sure the public is safe and that the houses we live in and the buildings we enter in our everyday lives provide clean air and water, a comfortable atmosphere and a safe building. It is also a single achievement representing the hundreds—if not thousands—of hours I have spent studying various inspection areas.”

Code Compliance Project Manager Daniel Windham with ECS Mid-Atlantic Facilities, said this about Kevin’s MCP achievement: “Working with Kevin these last few months has been a pleasure. Since he started, he has shown great enthusiasm to grow his skills in our field. I am proud of him. Obtaining his MCP certification is a huge accomplishment!”
