Shontz and Bianchino Appointed Chantilly Office Leaders

We are pleased to announce the following recent promotions within the ECS Chantilly office.

Drew Shontz, PG, has been promoted to Office Manager in Chantilly. Drew joined ECS in 2001 and has been serving as the area manager for the Loudoun and Winchester markets since 2012. He has over 21 years of broad geotechnical and construction materials testing experience in the Northern Virginia and Northern Shenandoah Valley market areas, with expertise in design methods and implementation during construction.

A Certified Professional Geologist in Virginia and a Licensed Geologist in North Carolina, Drew earned his Master of Engineering in Geotechnics from the Missouri University of Science and Technology and his Bachelor of Science in Geology from James Madison University.

Michael Bianchino, PE, has been promoted to Assistant Office Manager in Chantilly. Mike joined ECS in 2012 and has been serving as the area manager for the Washington, DC area since 2015. He has over 16 years of Geotechnical Engineering and Construction Materials Testing experience to include oversight of geotechnical studies, testing and inspection services and support of excavation (SOE) system design, consultation and monitoring.

A licensed Professional Engineer in Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, the District of Columbia and New York, Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Geotechnical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
