We are pleased to announce the addition of David M. Vovak, PE to the Cleveland, Ohio office. Mr. Vovak is a pragmatic problem solver and a highly respected geotechnical consultant within Northeast Ohio and surrounding areas. His addition increases our technical depth and senior leadership throughout the region.
“We are excited to bring David on to lead our Cleveland Office. David brings his 20 plus years of engineering experience as a flexible, well-rounded and multi-discipline leader to the Cleveland, Ohio, office,” said Chris Lopez, PE, Chief Operating Officer, ECS Midwest LLC.
Mr. Vovak has worked extensively within both the private and public sectors leading teams through fast-tracked and high-profile projects. On projects ranging from new schools to power plants, he prides himself by personally following the ventures from conception to completion, preliminary and final geotechnical investigations, design support, material testing and inspection.
Mr. Vovak graduated from the Ohio University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. He also holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Akron which included a thesis option on the rapid chloride permeability test on concrete.
