We rarely think they will happen to us, but a natural disaster can happen anywhere in the U.S. at any time. Are you prepared?
Did You Know
- Since 2001, have been 25 catastrophes per year, with over $30 billion on average annually in property damage
- On average, only 17% of those affected were prepared
- 59% of consumers have not made a list or inventory of their possessions
The time to prepare is now. Have an evacuation plan. Have a survival kit that includes your necessary medicines. Let others know your plans. Evacuate early when possible. Property is replaceable…your life is not!
CREATE an emergency kit if you need to leave your home in a minute or two, so that you have the essentials prepared
KNOW the evacuation plan
PREPARE digital copies of important property: financial, medical, family, and personal information
MINIMIZE damage to your home by boarding windows, clearing trees, moving outdoor items inside and shutting off power
