Tony Fiorillo began his career at ECS as a Field Technician in 1993 and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer. In his new role as President, he will work with the Board of Directors and subsidiary executives to establish short and long-term goals, plans and strategies, and ensure that operational goals are met.
“Following in the footsteps of our well-respected founder and leader (Henry Lucas) is humbling and daunting at the same time,” says Tony. “Henry has been a tremendous mentor to all of us and for that reason I am confident in a bright and prosperous future.”
We talked to Tony his vision for the future and what inspires him.
Please tell us your vision for ECS in the future?
We will work to not only strengthen our networks, but improve our readiness in an effort to protect us from both future attacks and pandemics. As a company, we will continue our expansion across the United States, service line growth across subsidiaries and extension into complimentary services lines. Above all else, we will continue to take care of our people!
What would you say has been the largest contributor to the growth of your career?
I was extremely fortunate to join the company in the Chantilly office when it was still very new. I had the opportunity to work on projects for the primary owners and to develop strong relationships with them. They never made promises with regard to future opportunities, but they sat down with me and gave me a road map to achieve my goals. Along with that road map, the company’s high growth rate, and motivation, I have been able to achieve a happy and fulfilling career. Don’t be shy about asking for your own road map. Just be prepared to go the extra mile!
Who inspires you?
My family (Big Daddy Mike, My wife (Dawn), and my three children (Jake, Ellie, and Cannon).
What was the last book you read?
CEO Tools 2.0.
What’s your favorite movie?
The Godfather. Gangster movies were popular when I was a kid and I was a big fan. The Godfather is one of my favorites because it is one of the greatest and most quotable movies of all time! “I’m gonna make him an offer he can’t refuse.” “Revenge is a dish best served cold.” “Leave the gun – take the cannoli.”
Where’s your favorite place in the world?
Costa Rica is one of the most amazing places on earth. It is known for its rainforests, cloud forests, volcanoes, amazing white water rafting, deep sea fishing, beautiful beaches, zip lining, and biodiversity.
How did you decide to become a PE?
It’s in the genes!
