Engineering Consulting Services Appoints Principal Engineer

David M. Anderson

Engineering Consulting Services (ECS) is pleased to announce that David M. Anderson, PE, has been promoted to Principal Engineer. An ECS employee since 2010, Mr. Anderson began his tenure at ECS as a Geotechnical Project Manager prior to his promotion to Geotechnical Department Manager. He is now the Branch Manager of the Chesapeake office and has served in this capacity since 2018.

Mr. Anderson has been practicing geotechnical engineering and materials testing in Hampton Roads for more than a decade. His experience includes geotechnical engineering for structure foundations and highway projects and Special Inspections and construction materials testing for a variety of infrastructure projects. Additionally, Mr. Anderson has performed both geotechnical engineering and construction materials testing on numerous VDOT projects in the Hampton Roads area, including addressing embankment settlement and stability, deep foundation design and other sustainable solutions to geotechnical and materials testing project needs.

Mr. Anderson is a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia and he received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology in 2009 from Old Dominion University. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE); the National Society of Professional Engineers/Virginia Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE/VSPE); the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME); the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE); and the Hampton Roads Association of Commercial Real Estate (HRACRE).
