ECS Chantilly Hires New Geotechnical Associate Principal

ECS is pleased to announce Oscar Merida Jr., PE has joined us as a Geotechnical Associate Principal working out of our Chantilly, VA office. Oscar brings 20 years of experience to his new role, where he had a primary focus on the DC area. Over the course of his career, Oscar has received the ACEC Engineering Excellence Grand Award and Loudoun County Bronze Medal of Valor.

As a Geotechnical Associate Principal, Oscar will be responsible for mentoring and developing junior staff, as well as providing project oversight and technical review.

“I am excited about the opportunity to join ECS and help grow, mentor and coach the next generation of Geotechnical Engineers in the DC Mero area,” says Oscar. “ECS has a proven track record of innovation and growth that I am excited to be a part of.”

Originally from Gaithersburg, Maryland, Oscar attended Drexel University where he received Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Virginia Tech where he attained a Master of Science in Geotechnical Engineering.
