ECS Announces Vice President Appointment
ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC is pleased to announce that Principal Engineering Geologist Andrew R. (Drew) Shontz, PG has been promoted to Vice President with the ECS Chantilly office.
A member of the ECS team in Chantilly since 2001, Mr. Shontz has broad geotechnical and construction materials testing experience in the Northern Virginia and Northern Shenandoah Valley market areas. He is responsible for managing 50 professional and field staff in the Loudoun and Winchester markets and he previously served ECS as the Geotechnical Manager for the Loudoun County area.
“I am very honored and appreciative of this opportunity here at ECS, and look forward to continuing to work with our clients and our staff within the region,” he said. Mr. Shontz will continue to provide principal oversight in the geotechnical and construction materials testing departments, as well as support in client relations and business development.
Mr. Shontz earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from James Madison University in 1998. He earned his Masters of Engineering in Geotechnics from Missouri University of Science and Technology in 2014. He is a Certified Professional Geologist in Virginia and a Licensed Geologist in North Carolina.
