I joined ECS in August of 1993 as a Field Technician.

Bachelors of Civil Engineering, Masters of Business Administration, Masters of Civil Engineering, Professional Engineer, Certified General Contractor, LEED AP, Special Inspector of Threshold Buildings, Certified Structural Masonry Inspector, PTI – Fundamentals of Unbonded Post Tensioning Level II, International Code Council (ICC) – Structural Bolting (S1), Troxler: Nuclear Gauge Safety Training/Radiation Safety Officer, DOT – CTQP Earthwork Level 1, American Concrete Institute: Concrete Level I & Concrete Construction Special Inspector, American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) of Metals, Magnetic Particle Level 1 and Liquid Penetrant Level 1, DOT Asphalt Field Technician, WACEL Soils Level 2, NRCA – Roofing Technician.

What was your biggest struggle along the way? How did you overcome it?

When I left Chantilly to join the Frederick office, I went from Director of Marketing and part-time Project Engineer to full-time professional engineer. I went from being the guy asking the questions to the one answering them fast! Steep learning curve! The curve became steeper when I moved to open an office in Florida. I was able to overcome these challenges through our outstanding local team and the support of a tremendous company. Great life lessons!
