ECS Employees Have GRIT: Meet Bernardo

Reading Time: 1 minute
Bernardo is a Geotechnical Staff Project Manager with ECS. He is a fan of “getting things done,” and has been doing so for ECS since 2015.

Who inspires you?
My father, for multiple reasons. He taught me to be who I am, and he has encouraged me to keep pushing to achieve my goals, regardless of how hard or challenging the situation was.

Where’s your favorite place in the world?
Spain. I have to admit I am biased, since all my family lives there.

What are you passionate about?
Getting things done. In my spare time, I love trying new hobbies and new activities, from cooking (sometimes very crazy recipes – thanks to the Tasty! Channel on YouTube) to fixing car systems, making my own cider… I don’t think I can pick a single thing!

What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?
Outside of ECS, I am working on making my own apple cider! It is messy, but it turned to be delicious, so I can’t wait until all the batches are done!

What’s the most exciting project you ever worked on and why?
To date, I would say the TSA expansion project at a local airport. It was very difficult to coordinate, and to make it work, as well as troubleshooting the problems as they came through. But it ended up being a big success.
