We are an EPA accredited training provider of asbestos training courses. Tailored courses and schedules to fit your employees’ needs are available. Asbestos Roofing, Flooring and Siding
This course is designed for personnel who are required to meet regulations for small-scale removal of asbestos roofing, flooring, or siding. It includes review of federal and state regulations, work practices, proper methods for handling asbestos-containing materials (roofing, flooring, and siding), including waste handling and disposal. Each class is specific only to the material being removed (i.e. 8-hour roofing only class). The Supervisor course requires completion of the worker course and an additional 4-hour of classroom instruction.

Asbestos Awareness Training
This 2-hour course meets the EPA AHERA and OSHA Class IV operation requirements. It covers general awareness and safe work practices for employees who may come in contact with (but not disturb) asbestos. Topics include: health effects of asbestos; how to recognize high-risk areas, including thermal system insulation, surfacing and flooring that may contain asbestos; damage recognition; and overview of regulations. (English or Spanish)

AHERA Asbestos Supervisor
This 40-hour course provides students with the training necessary to perform competent person responsibilities during Class I asbestos abatement projects. Students will be trained in the proper removal, enclosure, and encapsulation of asbestos-containing materials. Hands-on work practices, such as building containment and glovebag procedures, shall be conducted. This class will be especially beneficial for contractors, air monitors and consultants.The 8-hour refresher course is required for existing Asbestos Supervisors to refresh their knowledge on regulations, new developments in procedures, potential health effects, personal protective equipment, state-of-the-art work practices, safety hazards and medical monitoring and a review of additional regulations. This course is currently approved in Virginia.

AHERA Asbestos Worker
These accredited courses are for the licensed asbestos abatement worker. These courses meet or exceed EPA’s AHERA regulation requirements and OSHA standards for Class I and Class II operations. The EPA Model Curriculum for training asbestos workers is used. (English or Spanish)

AHERA Asbestos Inspector
These accredited Asbestos Inspector courses are required for state licensure and use the EPA curriculum Asbestos Building Inspector manual. Content includes procedures for surveying asbestos-containing materials, collecting samples and producing findings reports. The 4-hour refresher course is required for all asbestos inspectors to refresh existing knowledge and updates regarding changes in the asbestos industry.

Asbestos Project Monitor
This accredited course may be attended by accredited Asbestos Supervisors or Project Designers who want to be accredited as Project Monitors in Virginia or Clearance Air Monitors in West Virginia. Project Monitors typically work directly for property owners to verify the quality of abatement performed by contractors and to conduct project clearance sampling. The 8-hour refresher course is required for existing Asbestos Project Monitors to refresh their knowledge of regulations; state-of-the-art work practices; occupied buildings, personal protective equipment, fiber aerodynamics and control; and recordkeeping and documentation.

Asbestos Operations & Maintenance
This course is designed for operation and maintenance personnel who are required to meet regulations for small-scale asbestos removal. This course includes review of federal and state regulations; work practices; proper methods for handling asbestos-containing materials, including waste handling and disposal, respirator use, care and fit testing, personal protective equipment and hands-on exercises, such as glove bag work, HEPA vacuum use and maintenance and appropriate decontamination procedures.

AHERA Asbestos Management Planner
These courses are required in conjunction with an Asbestos Inspector Course for licensure as an Asbestos Management Planner. The student is taught how to utilize the inspection report to determine response actions, set priorities for abatement, and develop management plans. The 4-hour refresher course is required for existing Asbestos Management Planners to refresh their knowledge of regulations, new developments in procedures, evaluation and interpretation of survey results, hazard assessments, evaluation and selection of control options and developing an Operations and Maintenance Plan.

Asbestos Project Designer
These courses are required for Asbestos Project Designers. Class includes review of regulations, new developments in procedures, safety system design specifications, writing abatement specifications, personal protective equipment, as well as budgeting and cost estimation.
