Project Description

The single story National Healthcare Facility is located at the intersection of Davis Road and SC Hwy 170 with gross areas of 88,000-sf.  Designed by Johnson and Bailey Architects of Murfreesboro, TN, the structure has a cast-in-place concrete shallow foundation and grade slabs supporting a structural masonry and light gauge metal frame.  American Constructors from Nashville, TN constructed the facility for National Healthcare Corporation.

ECS Involvement

·         Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment

·         Performed a subsurface exploration consisting of soil test soundings

·         Performed laboratory testing on soil samples

·         Designed pavement sections using Pavement-Transportation Computer Assisted Structural Engineering software

·         Provided an engineering report summarizing foundation recommendations for all structures and pavement design recommendations

·         Provided materials testing and special inspections services to include foundations, concrete, light gauge metal framing, and masonry

·         Provided stormwater monitoring services.
