Project Description

This project consisted of environmental services for an 11-story, 110,000-sf office building constructed in the 1960s.  ECS provided daily on-site project management of all personnel, conducted daily project air monitoring, and completed the hazardous materials abatement and interior soft demolition in less than eight weeks.

ECS Involvement

·         Performed a hazardous materials survey to include asbestos, lead-paint, poly-chlorinated biphenyls, and mercury 

·         Conducted hazardous materials abatement and soft demolition for full interior demolition including drywall, ceiling tile, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and metal and wood components

·         Removed asbestos of over 100,000-sf of floor tile and mastic, 25,000-lf of pipe insulation, and 20,000-lf of exterior window/panel casing caulk

Project Highlight

·         ECS achieved an 85 percent recycling rate of waste materials for credit towards a LEED® Platinum Certification.
