Project Description:

The Gaylord National Harbor consists of a hotel with 1,500 luxurious guest rooms, 400,000 square feet of exhibition and meeting space, an 18-story glass atrium that will crown the hotel, with views of national monuments, historic landmarks, and the Potomac River, a private marina offering sailing, fishing and other water sports, and a 20,000-square-foot spa and fitness center with indoor lap pool.  The Convention Center/Exhibit Hall is two stories in height and located at the southwestern portion of the site.   

ECS Involvement:

·         Reviewed a previous subsurface exploration and geotechnical engineering analysis

·         Conducted testing on 51 soil borings, selective laboratory testing, and pressuremeter testing

·         Installed three piezometers during the drilling program in order to monitor the steady state groundwater table elevation for future use
