Project Description:

The Busse Center for Specialty Medicine consists of an 8-story facility which houses several diagnostic and treatment centers along with office space for physicians.  The first two floors include approximately 52,000 square feet and provide diagnostic services including Advanced Cardiac Testing, Comprehensive Breast Center, Endoscopy and Digestive Disorders Center, and the Advanced Diagnostic Testing Center.  The upper six floors include approximately 103,000 square feet of physician office space.  A new 5-story Parking Garage is connected to the Busse Center and provides more than 900 parking spaces for cars.

ECS Involvement:

·         ECS provided Geotechnical Engineering services for Busse Center for Specialty Medicine and the adjacent Parking Garage.

·         ECS provided Value Engineering through the use of Pressuremeter Testing resulting in a reduction in size of foundation elements and a substantial cost savings to the owner. 

·         ECS provided Construction Materials Testing services for the Busse Center for Specialty Medicine and new Parking Garage, including, earthwork, reinforcing steel, concrete placement, structural steel and fireproofing.
