Project Description:

The project consisted of a property encompassing approximately 1,500 acres consisting of mainly farmland with a unique forested ridge complex of approximately 200 acres. Several farmhouses and associated buildings exist on the property with a freight railroad bisecting the site. The property is being considered for a master planned residential development and is located between the towns of Sugar Grove and Aurora, Illinois.

ECS Involvement:

·         ECS is providing wetland delineation services for the entire 1,500 acres. Unique wetland areas such as seeps were observed throughout the 1.5-mile ridge area and isolated wetlands were found in the southern portion of the property. Total wetland area consisted of approximately 30 acres of wetland resource areas.

·         A wetland report describing the findings, photographs of each wetland, and permitting recommendations based on federal, state, and county regulations will be provided to the client for their review.
